Today The Platform was officially opened by Kevin Davies! On the run up to the opening, the team at The Platform were busy practising perfect lattes and baking many delicious treats for everyone to sample.
The team at The Platform were presented with two large photo frames full of signatures as a good luck gift from Kevin Davies and everyone he is working with on the set of Coronation Street. The Platform team have thoroughly enjoyed looking at these!
Kevin Davies officially opened The Platform, before cutting the ribbon he said: ‘I really hope The Platform catches on and that the community use it. I certainly will be coming for a coffee now and again, one sugar please!’ Once Kevin cut the ribbon and declared The Platform open, the team went to work serving everyone the delicious treats they have spent weeks perfecting.
It has been a wonderful day and the team are delighted with how well it went.
So now The Platform is officially open, pop in and see us for a coffee and a homemade treat.
The Platform is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10:00am-15:30pm. The Platform team looks forward to being a stop on your journey!
